simoncnx Posted March 1, 2011 Share Posted March 1, 2011 All of this assumes that the helmets in Thailand are any use at all, except for avoiding fines You don't have to wear the ridiculous mini-helmets that are provided by rental shops and with a motorbike purchase, you can buy a decent helmet that will improve your odds if your head hits the pavement. I bought the best locally made helmet I could find 1600B. But still its not very strong on the temple which is the thinnest part of the skull (i think).
