News_Editor
Indonesia's exports decrease 14 percent in January 2011-03-02 10:24:13 GMT+7 (ICT) JAKARTA, INDONESIA (BNO NEWS) -- Indonesia's exports dropped 14 percent in the month of January, the country's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said Tuesday. BPS said Indonesia's exports totaled $14.45 billion, compared to December's $16.82 billion, but despite the 14.11 percent drop, the total also represents a 25 percent increase compared to January 2010. The country's exports decrease was in large part due to declining numbers in non-oil products, which reached $11.94 billion, a 12 percent decrease compared to December, but consistent with the overall output, it also represented a 29 percent increase compared to the previous year. The report also showed that industrial products rose by 38.3 percent compared to the same period a year ago, while agricultural products rose 6 percent. Meanwhile, Indonesia's crude oil price in the world market rose from December's $91.37 to $97.11 in January. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-03-
