The attack occurred when a Taliban suicide bomber pretending to be an army recruit in the province of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan blew himself up in the middle of a crowd. Among the dead were new army recruits, soldiers, and civilians, including five children, but the death toll could rise as many of the injured were in critical condition. Following the attack, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility of the attack. The bomb marks the fourth attack in the Kunduz Province since February, including another suicide bomber who killed at least 30 people in a government office in the Emam Saheb district of Kunduz. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-03-
