News_Editor Posted April 30, 2011 Share Posted April 30, 2011 Suicide bombing kills seven people in northern Iraq 2011-05-01 04:15:40 GMT+7 (ICT) MOSUL, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) -- At least seven people were killed and 15 others were wounded on Saturday in a suicide bombing attack in Iraq's eastern city of Mosul, the Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported. "A suicide bomber detonated an explosive belt strapped to his chest near an Iraqi army patrol in al-Nabi Younis (the Prophet Jonah) area, eastern Mosul, leaving seven, including four soldiers, dead and 15 others, including two soldiers, wounded," a security source said. The blast occurred near a popular market and the Iraqi army cordoned off the area. The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital, while the bodies were removed to a morgue in Mosul.
