NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) -- Six people were killed on Thursday when a Bolivian Air Force plane carrying UN officials crashed northeast of the capital of La Paz, the United Nations confirmed on Saturday.

Bolivian state-run media had initially reported on Friday that the plane had been found and that there were no casualties, but UN officials said on Saturday that they were informed by the Bolivian government that there were no survivors.

On board were six people, two pilots and four UN officials who have Bolivian nationalities.
