The suicide bomber was on foot when he detonated the explosives at around 12 p.m. local time in front of a hotel in the outdoor Alishang district market in Afghanistan's eastern province of Laghman, district officials told Pajhwok Afghan News. Governor spokesman Faizullah Patan, who had placed the initial death toll at three, said authorities believe the hotel owner was the target of the attack, as he also owns a private security company. At least 15 people were reportedly injured after the attack. Five of them were transported to the district clinic, while the other 10 were receiving medical treatment at the Laghman Civil Hospital, health officials said. -- © BNO News All rights reserved 2011-05-
