DonaldBattles
We are experiencing night and day the worst level of noise pollution you could expect. In front of the Doi Hang Wat, Taksins 2 sound trucks are faced off with 5 of Apisits trucks both blaring at each other. On top of this the Wat has had its loud speakers turned on with some kind of program for 3-6 hours per day for the last 2 days. Between the 3 of them they have set a noise record. When this is not going on the Pua Thai theme song is going night and day from another truck in front of my house. Has anyone else experienced this situation. Definitely interfering with the intellectual enlightenment meetings at the Little Longhorn. May god rush up the balance of this month and through July 3. jubby
At least there's some Logic in the battle Don. We get about 10 trucks in procession twice a day. they are all promoting the same woman. No Idea if's she's red, Yellow, White or Blue. but wouldn't it be funny if she was Green Hey Don, This will cure your Ills. Play it loud Edited June 10, 2011 by jubby

BlueSmurf
Its the reason we are here anything goes! Grasshopper says never buy house in Thailand unless you can buy the house either side of you and the road outside! Also the Wat accross the road or you are able to cut the speaker wires.. DonaldBattles
Jubby: I played this music and you are right. I am out to buy some big speakers to drown them out. Thanks. Don
maidu
Sorry to hear about that happening. Because it involves Thais, no Thais will complain - they would hate to have another Thai lose face - that's worse (for a Thai) than being punched in the face. Police are useless in such scenarios. If they're competing by seeing who can outdo the other with the loudest blast, then the one who proves to be the loudest - will get the most votes. Similarly, if there are a row of shops in Thailand, the shop with the most blaring sounds, will be the shop with the most customers.

harrry
Happy to report that the battle of Doi Hang has ended and they have moved on. GOD IS GOOD! Hope they do not come here....think of the public service they are doing out there keeping the noise away from ordinary people in the city.
