Jai Dee
FOREIGN FIRMS ARE INTERESTED TO INVEST IN SKYTRAIN PROJECT According to Transport Minister PONGSAK RAKTAPONGPISAL (พงษ์ศักดิ์ รักตพงศ์ไพศาล), Prime Minister THAKSIN SHINAWATRA has notified that France, Russia and China have shown their interests in investing in Thailand’s skytrain project. The project will cover seven main routes, and it is expected to be completed within five years. However, the Transport Minister said the completion of the mass transit project can be shortened to just two to three years, as several foreign firms would like to take part in this project. Moreover, new technological innovations would be used, which can help speed up the construction process. He said there would be an “International Bid” for the skytrain project in the near future. Crossy
This is the only Skytrain that will be finished in 2-3 years:- Mr Taxin should vist Tesco before they're sold out!! EDIT: For those who've not seen these, yes it's real, 400Baht in Tesco, you get an oval of track and a couple of switches, uses 1 C battery. I've written to Tomy Thailand to see if they are going to do a BKK Metro set (the trains are the same as BTS, just a different paint job), if we buy two we can have crashes, just like the real thing.
