My gut feeling is that explanatory stuff about her daughter (not being part of this application, but part of a future one), would seem better coming from the real parent as opposed to just the parent's sponsor/husband. But if overall the applicant letter adds nothing more than this and just reads like a similar version of the sponsor letter, then I think we leave it out.
