I am looking at a couple of days there in January, and would be grateful for any hotel recommendation. My research suggests I can get a visa at LP airport - but what about a Thai national? LPQ has heaps of good value for money accommodation. My fave gh is the Souansavan. But what sort of budget do you have & what standard are you looking for? Upmarket hotels / ghouses are most likely fully booked for Nov- Dec-Jan from what I can gather - LPQs doing real well in the high season & deservedly so.
