Mark Twain himself was the source of the inaccurate info - 30 years after the fact he forgot which one he had typed and which one he had handwritten! Jay Leno had a segment on a few weeks ago dispelling this common piece of "trivia" -- he had on a group of about a dozen people, all of whom could do it.
