easethesqueeze Posted August 20, 2011 Share Posted August 20, 2011 I've been catching a load of these in the lake at the back of the house lately, anyone know what they're called??? This ones about 8 inches from tip to tail and i've had them on bread flake and pork ball. My suggestion to put them back was met with astonishment and grandma soon had them in the frying pan. She said they were called Pla Slit but i'm pretty sure they're different to the Pla Slit i've seen in the markets in Bangkok and was wondering if anyone had a western name for them. There are also a few common snakeheads. The locals dip net them all the time. Some guys try to shoot the larger species with a crossbow I've caught them on tiny flies, but it's difficult and you need very fine leaders.
