Koi Temp Relocation

noise

Recommended Posts

I have a 7,000 liter plus tiled fish pond that badly needs regrouting; leaks 15-25% of the water each week. I need a knowledgeable pro with the right equipment to rent to me to help me remove some 20 koi and a whole pot load of other fish and give them a new home for probably 3 weeks. Then I can get a pool tile company to come and re-grout.

I am assuming the temporary tank would be at my house and I would be responsible for taking care of them. I just need the tank set up.

Fish markets in Kum Tiang say they know of no one. Does anyone have any suggestions that would be helpful?

Really? did you try shogun farms? come to think of it, is there any OTHER fish shop in KT?

I know they built my friends HUGE pond, designed filter system with him, worked with his home contractor to make it all right, stock with Koi, etc and blah blah...

They come out to homes to install, do monthly, or weekly tank checks... hell, i can't think of anything they won't do for the right price.

Don't go to the large store, go to the smaller one, where there are 2 shops across from eachother... that is where the real wheeling and dealing is done.

Well..........now that I think about it I asked at their large store and did not ask at those other 2 shops (even though that is where I usually go). I figured the large shop had the most knowledgeable people. I will go ask at the other place.

RE pool tile contractors: A neighbor had a pool built. And the housing development has the pools drained and re-grouted occasionally. So I figured I would ask them who did their work once I know how to take care of the fish.

You probably got good advice from Zippy.

In a former life, Hubby and I ran a specialist plant nursery and we would do some exceptional things for customers given the right circumstances and/or compensation. Let's see -- there was the fellow who was in a coma for weeks and his family brought his beloved plants to us -- we cared for them for about 18 months until he recovered to the point where he could tend them. Then there was another customer whose house had burned down and he dug up the plants from his yard so that the construction crews wouldn't damage them during reconstruction. We custom-grew specific varieties for customers, and emailed them photos of the progress of their plants. And there were people who placed large orders and asked us to "take care of them" until their garden was ready. Sometimes that stretched into years and the reasons why "their garden wasn't ready" could be quite entertaining.
