The word for guava (the fruit) and the word for Westerner/Caucasian sounds and is spelt the same - i.e. ฝรั่ง . (ru kon dang dao bap kon Yipun) is difficult for me to understand. รู้คน dang dao bap คนญี่ปุ่น ? I think what dseawarrior meant to say was หรือคนต่างด้าวแบบคนญี่ปุ่น ... so the full sentence becomes something like 'It's no good when Caucasians (or other foreigners, like Japanese) know too much!'... something you sometimes hear Thai people say. Personally I think knowledge is the way forward, and your contributions to this thread help forward this cause, so in this case it is more a case of คนญี่ปุ่นที่ช่วยเสริมความรู้ภาษาไทยให้ทุกคนเป็นอะไรที่ดีมาก.
