there is one rail museum at Suan Rot Fai (Railway Park) is situated near the Northern Transport Terminal (Mo Chit); it used to be the golf course of the State Railway of Thailand (near Chatuchak park/market)

The State Railway Hall of Fame

This is a train museum where steam engines, train models, and miniature trains are exhibited along with the story of world railway systems. It is located on the western side of Chatuchak Park adjacent to Kamphaeng Phet Road.

Open : Sat. - Sun. from 5 a.m. - 12 a.m.

Admission : Free

This is an interesting place to visit....it's opening hours are sort of weird. But, even if you get there on a off day the windows allow a pretty good internal view.

Didn't the original poster ask about Train Museum and not Brain Museum?

From the condition of the State Railway of Thailand, you would think that most of the Directors should be pickled in brine, but more likely they are all pickled on whisky. The Railway is totally inefficient with vast areas of unused land and millions of baht's worth of steel just lying around the country. It's about 50 years behind anything in North America and light years behing Japan. Rolling stock is antique, the Japanese from World War 2 would recognise much that still exists.

However fares are nice and cheap, the staff friendly and the trains leave on time. (Don't always arrive on time though)..
