jackinbkk
I've always believed that the wild waters hold much bigger fish than can be found in the fishing parks. If they can just survive uncaught for 20 years they really do get massive. During loi krathong it's amazing how many big fish you see in the canals, rivers and reservoirs feeding on the free offerings. Anyway more giants found 180kg, 170kg: Giants
rufanuf
Theres loads of big Mekong in the wild, and occassionally other fish, but sadly they are virtually impossible for an angler to target. Some small dams near me prohibit the use of boats. The moment the local authorityy does this it takes just a few years before fish reach their adult sizes. In the morning you can see huge mekongs rolling just 200 or 300 meters from the bank. In Hua Hin theres a lot of waters like this, and occassionally you here stories of locals being spooled when fishing from the banks for small Indian carp.Ive never seen large fish during Loy Kratong.....where was that in bangkok? jackinbkk
...Ive never seen large fish during Loy Kratong.....where was that in bangkok? Reservoirs up and down the country and in the chao phraya. Not as easy to spot in the chao phraya, sometimes just catch a glimpse of a big tail as they go back under.
