Buff-horns Posted December 19, 2005 Author Share Posted December 19, 2005 Three die in Thai road accident The people killed were believed to be on holiday Three people, including a brother and sister from Wales, have died in a road accident in Thailand. The three were killed in the city of Chiang Mai, north Thailand, when a taxi they were in was involved in a crash. The 49-year-old man who died is from Trimsaran, near Llanelli, and his sister lived in Burry Port. The man's Thai wife was the third person killed. It is thought the trio had been on holiday and were on their way to the airport. Ex-trimsaran Rugby Club skipper Ken Ford and his thai wife Phalit, both aged 47, and his 42-year-old sister Violet Griffiths were on their way to Chiang mai airport for the journey home when the cab was in a head-on crash. Phalit's teenage daughter, a passenger in the cab, and the Thai driver were both seriously injured.
