News_Editor Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi will take her seat in Parliament for the first time on April 23, following her historic election victory earlier this month. Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy party won 43 seats in April 1 by-elections and will become the main opposition presence in Burma’s Union Parliament, which is dominated by allies of the former military regime.
