Chicog
Messi in a united shirt is just a dream but City or Chelsea could just about afford him and his wages.I'm afraid you are right.Unless he is one of those very few left, whom still look for career challenges, as he knows his salary will be good anywhere. Would be a significant career challenge to play in a league where a knee shattering late tackle often ends in a mere yellow card.... Although in fairness the Butcher of Bilbao only got a yellow for this:

Its his 19th La Liga game to score in succession and he has now scored against all the La Liga sides in this run. smokie36
Well....it will need a masterclass from him in the Second Half of this game with Bayern for them to stand any chance. Without him the Barcelona side look flat as a pancake tonight!
jellydog
Even as a Barca fan I'm glad to see Messi getting a break. His hamstring problem was obviously more significant than Barca let on. We all know how hamstrings can mess up a career if not handled correctly.

jellydog
Messi subbed out around 60 minutes last night. Its about time he started getting his playing time shortened in blow outs. He lives to play, but the recent recurring muscle issues say he ought to cut back when he can. Plus, apparently Tata wants him to track back some and play a little D. Which he is more than capable of doing. So, he might have 40 goals instead of 50.
