hnrhnr
I am holding a Non Immigrant Type B visa, multiple entry, 1 year validity. My presence in Thailand does not reqire for me to posses work permit (we live here, but I conduct my business out side of Thailand). I would like to know what would be the best and cheapest way to extend my visa for additional year, or, shall I am required to apply for a new type-B visa? Shall I do it out side Thailand? What questions I may have to answer? Any correlation to Tax authorities? Thanks, Hnr.
george
Just apply for another Multiple entry, and you are ok for another 12 months. In oder to extend a "B" visa you must have a work permit, basically.
fester
Go for another Multiple entry, they are convenient and less hassle. Ýou have to apply outside Thailand, at the nearest Thai Consulate or Embassy. If you don't have work permit and tax card you should not pay Thai tax. Brian Allen
Hey fester, George This seems to fit my case, too. I live in Chiang Mai and am about to set out and drive to Kota Bahru or Penang. Which of those is best and is Vientienne [Less than half the distance] any good for a simple and straightforward one-year non-immigrant v? [Like hnrhnr, I also don't work here] The best -- B A
