Wat Phrathat Ha Duang , Li, south of Lamphun on the 106 highway . Notice all the animals from the “ year of “ signs in the above photo, very nice. Look at the detail on these doors !! Also in the roof space above the doors !! Unfortunately i wasn’t able to view inside . Here’s another in the same grounds !! Don’t know who’s selling them their gold paint but he’s making an absolute fortune !! Before I lived in Navanakorn and could see the glow from the dome at sunset . It truly is the weirdest of the weird. The (remnants) of this building are from a Chapel for a rest-house in Mahayana Buddhism (13th century). Although the building looks like just a heap of stones, there is still lots of magic powers around. So much that monks cannot stay in the direct area.
