Popular Post Andrew Dwyer
Wat Mani Wong, Nakhon Nayok A work in progress this one, but will be spectacular when finished, plenty of detail going into the serpents and other larger statues, plenty of lifelike effigies of monks also . 4

Aesthetically, I often prefer bot wats before they spruce them up; they seem to have more character.

Popular Post XJ650
Wat San Pong in Phan, Chiang Rai Province. It is a very nice and peaceful area with three beautiful temple-buildings. They also have a very interesting museum under one of the temple-buildings. Popular Post Andrew Dwyer
I think what I like most about Wats, apart from the obvious beauty in the architecture, is that there are no two the same, each one manages to provide a different aspect and numerous photo opportunities. This one is tucked away in a residential area just off Ayutthaya downtown area and surely enjoyed by the local community. Thank you! It's a great place for photographers, especially around 5:00 pm - when the light is ideal, although that's when it closes, so you need to enter just before closing time and linger. Halfaboy
Not a Wat but Wat related. This crematorium was built at a beautiful place. However, before starting nobody asked for permission to build and therefore, although brand-new, it cannot be used....

A lot going on here in this Wat, it really is a beautiful work in progress, inside is stunning. A fleeting visit so i couldn’t do it justice but I would definitely recommend to any budding photographers. 3
