transam
If you ignore, then you have lost. Do you get the point: you can still read people on your ignore list. You can still respond to people on your ignore list. You have actually lost absolutely nothing. You have in fact gained a reminder that the ignored poster did something in the past that inspired you to put him on the list. That's all is has to be. You have still lost in your own gray cells. I ignore nobody.A couple in farang land, but thats another story.
Jingthing
I ignore nobody. ... Does that make you more of a macho man?
DrTuner
I kind of wish there was a "highlight" feature instead of ignore. It's too bothersome to add 90% of the posters on a forum this size.
smokie36
If you ignore, then you have lost. I choose to ignore some things simply as I know replying to their pathetic posts will only encourage them further. I'm more indulgent if there is wit and intelligence behind some of the nonsense. Do we not want a bit of entertainment after all? I don"t understand why you would use the ignore function unless a particular poster was hounding you constantly. Jingthing
Actually in real life if we weren't wired to automatically filter out 99.99999 of the "reality" out there, we'd all be barking mad.

transam
I ignore nobody. ... Does that make you more of a macho man? macho means nothing, absolutely nothing. If l save someone from drowning, which l have, it has nothing to do with being macho, it's what was right for me.

I agree with you there about the wit, but the intelligence I ignore, as I myself am not intelligent....so my school teachers said.

samsiam
I am really offended that krobert6 has me on his ignore list. I am sooooooo sad . There ya go. People who put people on ignore are just extremely weak minded. I just explained to you another way to use ignore. To remind you to be CAUTIOUS about a particular user based on previous experience. You can still read their posts. You can still reply to their posts. Be careful about making silly assumptions of the different reasons and motivations that people use the given TOOLS offered on this forum. But you are assuming I read your post. There is a new concept out...its called 'don't' read it'...

phl
i think this thread has seen more people using/trying the 'tool" than any other "tool" since the inception of this forum. Would not be surprised if half of the active posters were now on the ignore list I am still happy to say that i have not been tempted to use my "tool" no matter what i thought of some people
lomatopo
15, a great tool, saves bandwidth. example: This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by Jingthing. View it anyway? We used to be able to block avatars as well but that option may have been disabled?
