I never cook when in Thailand, so I miss cooking. As soon as I get back to the UK I cook spaghetti with sun dried tomato, olive, and peppadew peppers, lashings of good parmesan cheese on top. Served up with a good red wine, fantastic.

Oh, sometimes I use smoked bacon as well if I want a meaty fest!

totster :D

Correct me if I am wrong :D Toastytoes, you are in the UK therefore a nice roast lamb dinner is not beyond the realms of possibility :o

It's not even that hard to get in Chiang Mai! :D

I miss shoarma.

That is how it called in my country.

Lamb meat in pita bread and then a garlic and tomato soace spread over it.

A friend from Canada calls it Gyros.

I found a place in SG that serves it (try to) but it is just not the same.

Somewhere in this place it was mentioned that there is a place at Soi 4 so I will try to find.

KR,

Alex

Anyone with an answer to this question...

Is "schwarzwaelder kirschtorte" what we call "Black forest Gataeu"?

If anyone's interested, it is Black Forest Gataeu!

:D You are perfectly right with the translation suegha and its something one might miss over here, but in some hotels they even serve it... I had a really nice "black forrect gateau" (or cake) in the coffeshop of Nai Lert Park Hotel on Witthayu. :o

Have a decent cup of coffee with it... :D

Cheers

KY
