Upgrade Of Thaivisa Connect App For Ios And Android

Recommended Posts

Hi George

Looks like the pagination isn't working on the new update.

I work with 50 posts/page and, as the screenshot shows, I not only got 51 (of 126) on my 1st page but the pagination buttons suggest I'm on the last page.

The buttons don't allow me to go either forwards (as they're grayed out) or backwards (as there's no previous page).

Regards

R21

PS I've only noticed it, so far, on the thread in the screenshot.

No. Looks like it's happening on this thread also.

It might be the "post count" system that is part of the problem?

Note the post count in the top left corner of the attached screenshot vs the post count of the latest post.

I have reported the issue to the developers. We have a monthly release cycle of the Apps, so will be fixed in upcoming version.

Hi George

The post count problem hasn't fully been cured, but I may have located the trigger.

See the attached screenshots:

The header says there are 3 posts.

The OP is post #1.

The 2nd post is marked as post #3(?)

The 3rd/final post is marked as #4(?)

It looks like the embedded advert is being treated as a post (#2) although it's not being included in the overall post count in the header.

Hope this helps with the next update.

The issue here is that #2 has been hidden or deleted, but that doesn't change the post numbers.

Also applies to the current thread?

Yes, same here. Quite annoying.

I just get a black screen.

I tap the Thai Visa icon / tile, it doesn't do anything for a few seconds, and then it goes to a blank screen. I can't do anything after that. It basically means I can't use the mobile app, although if I restart the phone, the app will start correctly a couple of times before eventually going to the blank screen.

Is it just me or is the tv android app incredibly data hungry?

Only use it for short periods but a usage monitor shows that it really eats into my allowance.

Look at how much data is on just 1 page from TV. That is stored in your cache, along with many other pages depending on your settings... This, I believe, is not specific to the Android app. If you find your internet cache on a pc, try and see how big it gets after loading a page (or 2 or 3) from TV.

Also, the pages are over burdened with js in my opinion. The page I am making this post on has 2447 lines of code in Nightly browser.

Good news!

New version of the Android App its scheduled to be launched today September 23, 2013. It's the second generation of Thaivisa Connect App with a whole lot of new features.

Watch this space!
