mads 10 Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 I've been trying to bake some buns and bread with the only yeast I could find. It is a flaky/powder kind of yeast. So far it has not been possible for me to make the dough grow from the yeast. Now I want the real deal, the yeast I'm used to work with. Anyone knows where to find yeast cake, I believe it is called. We put some bread doughs in the refrigerator and let them do a slow rise for as long as 36 hours. The general rule is for every 9 degrees centigrade rise in temperature, the rising time will be cut in half. Link to post Share on other sites
