Weng seeks info on role of 'snipers'

The Nation on Sunday

United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) activist and Pheu Thai party-list MP Weng Tojirakarn called on Democrat Suthep Thaugsuban to clarify the alleged deployment of snipers and their role during the 2010 riots.

He was speaking at a red-shirt rally at Democracy Monument on Bangkok's Ratchadamnoen Road to mark the sixth anniversary of the 2006 coup.

He told the red shirts that the country must think about the events of six years ago, and how they occurred.

He urged the Democrat Party to stop its attacks against the red-shirt movement over its alleged attempts to establish a new state.

He said the red shirts' true wish is to change the country's ruling system from aristocracy to true democracy.

Police deployed over 1,000 policemen to the monument and nearby areas to maintain peace and order and urged motorists to refrain from using the road from noon until midnight to avoid traffic congestion.

Weng why don't you make a deal?

Exchange your info on the role of the Men in Black with info on the role of snipers.

Exactly. That would promote reconciliation. May the guilty be punished

As i look out the window, i see the pigs being refuelled, ready to take off soon.

I agree. Also DPM Chalern, has said that the men in Black were police and that it was police shipers, that shot and killed SaDang. Weall can trust DPM Chalerm to tell the truth.

Perhaps Comrade Weng could explain to the public at large the reasons for the rampant looting of shops in the KlongToey area, the burning out of the Electricity building, the road blocks and the outright acts of terrorism that were conducted in the surrounding areas by the Red Shirts of whom he was and it seems still is a leading figure.

Comrade Weng, strangely enough truth is a two way street, perhaps Comrade Weng you're driving the wrong way on that street.

This is probably the most interesting statement in this report.

"He said the red shirts' true wish is to change the country's ruling system from aristocracy to true democracy."

The problem isn't Thaksin... The problem is that the real steps toward democracy of the people took directions which the ruling class did not accept, which the military nullified, and the people did not accept it this time around and they still want their democratic voice.

Weng go back from wengs you came, Thailand does not need a$$holes like you continuing to stir the pot. It's over and you lost, go lick your wounds somewhere else instead of inciting more riots and causing disruption to decent Thai (and Farang) people. Your colour Red was deliberately chosen for it's communist connections by your ousted puppet master, so is your Chinese heritage part of the bigger picture, to drag Thailand down to a socialist fraternity? You are doing a damned good job so far, the poor remain poor and the rich just keep getting richer, as demonstrated by the puppet master himself, and at what cost to Thais you claim to support? Bald-faced liars are easily picked...

Yes of course. That must be the reason those red shirt leaders spend most of their time preaching to their followers that they should support the reconciliation (whitewash) bills that mainly serve Thaksin and his cronies, in order to get real democracy.

If Thaksin is not the problem Thai society is facing today, then it must be just a coincidence that he is at the heart of it.

If you change Thaksin into me you have an almost exact copy of a phrase Thaksin often uses when he talks to the foreign press. giggle.gif

tlansford, when are you going to get it? The problem is and always has been Thaksin, and the Redshirts do not know or understand the concept of Democracy, come back in 2 or 3 Decades, and just maybe something will have changed.

The problem is that the red shirts have openly stated that the form of democracy they want is based on Cambodia's one party state. Is that what you want?

Red shirt rally to mark the anniversary of the coup,to mark the anniversary of the demonstrations,to mark the anniversary of Thaksins birthday,to mark the anniversary of their first rally relating to an anniversary of anything.

Do these people really have nothing else to do?

One party? I thought Cambodia even had 2 governments.
