Bus From Phuket To Rangoon/yangon

HI everyone,

I have asked Mr. Google but I can not find any good information. Hence, I pose here to ask the traveling experts.

I am wondering if there is any bus to travel from Phuket to Rangoon/Yangon( Myanmar)?

If you have any bus service provider, please kindly advise me!

Not possible.

You'll be able to cross the border from Ranong to Kawthoung by boat.

From there, it is possible (but very difficult) to then fly direct to Yangon - but this takes some time to arrange unless you have a contact at Myanmar Tours & Travels (Ministry of Hotels & Tourism) in Kawthoung.

No overland travel is permitted from Kawthoung to Yangon at this time for FIT's

Best way (and the only practical way) is to fly into Yangon from Bangkok.

There is NO overland travel permitted into the interior of Burma of any kind beyond any of the Burmese border crossings with Thailand - the exception being the Tachileik crossing with Mae Sai where you can travel towards the Chinese border (depending on the security situation) .

That may change in the future but for now a flight is the only way to Yangoon.
