By the sounds of it the OP is pretty keen, best he just rocks up when he is is more dire need of a celebrity shower and can detail his field report here later. I suggest he holds no punches, at worst only a temporary ban could ensue.

This sort of thing is already available half a block off Sirimangkalajarn.

Richy Club. 1300 baht, all in for 90 minutes. No tourists to speak of. Just look for the half-peeled banana across from the insect museum.

I'm told it's nicely done.

It must not have been too nice, it's been closed for at least a month.

Not sure why anyone would pay 1300 baht to have their banana peeled....oh, I get it, it's a euphemism!

Good to know.

As I said, my information was all hearsay.

I lived about two blocks away for six months, and many of the men in the neighborhood told me about it.

According to them, it was quite posh inside.

I'm not clear on the "sexpat" thing. Almost every massage place I've ever been in was mostly frequented by Thai men, and I deduced from the noises behind the curtains they weren't all enjoying traditional Thai massage.

Ths is a common part of the culture, and certainly not the province nor responsibility of a handful of tourists who happen to drop in. Especially not in Chiang Mai.

They’re all glorified happy ending places at rip off prices.

There are a few of these establishments opened in Chiang Mai over the last couple of years, meant to be a substitute for the soapy massages. Some describe themselves as body-to-body massage.

These places are about extracting the most amount of money, in the shortest possible time for doing as little as possible.

The police have already closed three of these so-called massage parlours down after numerous complaints, which included one Danish guy being seriously assaulted and blinded in one eye.

My advice is; avoid or if you decide to venture into one of those joints, you do so at your own risk and discretion.
