Jai Dee Posted February 4, 2006 Share Posted February 4, 2006 The King Narai the Great Fair 2006 The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) central regional office in the 7th district and the province of Lopburi held a press briefing on the King Narai the Great Fair 2006. The fair will be held in Phra Chao Hao (พระเจ้าเหา) Building, Phra Narai Ratchaniwet (พระนารายณ์ราชนิเวศน์) Palace in Lopburi’s Muang District. Lopburi is located 150 km north of Bangkok. This event will pay homage to King Narai the Great as well as celebrate His Majesty the King’s 60th anniversary of his accession to the throne. It will also help create public awareness and pride towards the national traditions. Lopburi Provincial Governor Wichai Srikwan (คุณวิชัย ศรีขวัญ) stated that he would like to thank all the Lopburi local residents and different agencies for contributing to this grand celebration. He said the locals will dress in Thai traditional uniforms during the festivity. Meanwhile, the Director-General of the TAT’s central regional office in the 7th district, Khun Wiyada Sirangkul (วิยะดา ศรีรางกูล), would like to invite you and tourists to visit the fair and see other appealing destinations in Lopburi Province. Once again, the King Narai the Great Fair 2006 will be held in Phra Chao Hao (พระเจ้าเหา) Building, Phra Narai Ratchaniwet (พระนารายณ์ราชนิเวศน์) Palace between the 16th and the 20th of this month. Many fun and traditional activities will be presented, and some of the highlights include the light and sound display, and OTOP items will also be sold here. The King Narai the Great Fair is being held once per year, so don’t miss out this event. Khutan Posted February 16, 2006 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Interesting, Maybe my history is wrong, I thought King Narai or Naraisuwan the Great lived in Suphanburi, and a bit in Autthaya.
