Ricardo
On Channel-3 TV-news this morning, viewers were treated to the latest inspirational idea from Khun Plodprasop, to promote the newly-opened Night Safari. St.Valentine's Day is coming up shortly, so loving couples should declare or re-affirm their mutual love, in front of the monkeys at the Safari. It might be possible for the orang-utans to be trained to make a Thai 'dawan-face', crinckling their eyes, the popular 'sweet-smile' which many young children are encouraged to make, for their relatives & proud parents. Could there possibly have been some falling-off in revenues or visitor-numbers, since the official-opening, and the end of the so-called 'free' period for locals to come and view the new attraction ? chanchao
> Won't the tens of thousands of farang plunking down 500 baht a > head make up for the shortfall? Only if they send some of their zebra striped pick-up trucks to the Night Bazar, bring their tranqualizer darts and load 'em up. The scary part is that isn't even the craziest idea relating to the Night Safari so far.
Ricardo
Addendum : My sources ( OK, I admit it, it's Her-Indoors) tell me that, if when you declare your love to your partner, you are telling a porky-pie, then the monkey will growl instead of grin. They don't have any growler-monkeys, in the Night Safari, do they ?
