Sorry I only counted 2, one was a policeman who murdered someone, they all get light sentences. The other victim was some looney tunes that was murdered in a domestic brawl. I reckon Lee's case is too high profile for a slap on the wrist

Why don't you go down to visit him and ask him to his face?

Probably have to wait a couple of decades because there is no contact visits in Phuket Provincial Prison.

You're not really up to clue with the Thai judicial system, are you? whistling.gif

Decades! laugh.png

He'll be lifting a glass in a certain bar before his 35th birthday.

That cowardly piece of garbage will not be around at 35.

So you cannot give one evidential link to base your point on... not even one...

A Brit, charged of killing an American on Thai soil.

Quite a unique case I think.

Did this ever happen before? blink.png Meaning, a foreigner kills another foreigner and escapes Thailand and is extradited later, back to Thailand?

I never heard of it.

Anybody?

No but 3 Thais killed a guy in Melbourne, they flew on bail back to Thailand, Thai customs let them through even though they were on Interpols watch-list and they then absconded. Never to be seen again. I doubt whether they will be facing trial in Australia

Interesting but off topic.

This is about 2 foreigners in Thailand ending up in a fight where the Brit came back and allegedly stabbed the American.

I can give you many examples of murders between foreigners on foreign soil (outside Thailand) but that would be off topic as well.

And he couldn't even get the information on it correct.

they weren't on bail.

They weren't on Interpol's watchlist.

And two of them were seen again, in court, and in jail, after being picked up by the Thai police and as the Thai judge granted their extradition.

Please provide information on the Thai judicial system for the benefit of the readers,

They will certainly in return provide information on how to respond in a more polite way.

Just saying....

Hope he will rot in jail - and a thai one which is what he fully deserveres. Lets see how much of a "Pitbull" he is behind the walls, we will probably see a sobbering book from him in a few years.

Have absolutely NO respect for people coming to thailand and behaving like they a) are at home with their macho bullshit, or B) they think they should be treated like king of the world.

He was "man" enough to take out a blade while being in thailand too, hes man enough to face the consequences.

Nice of thailand and the UK to send a signal that Thailand is not open-game for the scum of the world.

Thread bookmarked. see you in ten years.

* second extradition in 100 years we are already outside the realm of "normal" Thai judicial process. my bet is they'll be eager to show it wasn't for nothing and he'll be going away for a long time whatever happened in previous cases.

Looks like he'll be able to handle himself okay.

Not that he'll have any problems.

By all accounts he'll have servants waiting on him hand and foot.

Also remember that he is a special case prisoner, he was extradited to a questionable penal system, the Thais will be out to ensure absolutely nothing will happen to the British national they have been publicly enlisted as caring for.

He'll be king of his cell.

If I was to predict a sentence, I would say 15 years minus 50% for early guilty plea, minus almost 3 years served, free within 5 years of sentencing. Likely to be back in the UK well before then.

Enjoying his 35th birthday with a drink in a certain Phuket bar.

I remember watching a TV show many years ago where they had a bunch of young (aussie...i.e rugby league...and who think they are bulletproof and can get away with just about anything) footballers being told about what their behaviour could ultimately lead to. A woman psychologist laid it on the line.....no matter how big you are...or how tough you think you are....when you are inside the "big house" you are just more fresh meat. The young blokes did not look at all happy!

How does he look "to be able to handle himself quite well" ? lets see him next time he is on display after a few months behind bars, he was beat up and had to use a knife thats one sad looser in my eyes.

You might be right but i honestly hope he will be made an example that Thailand is stepping up and is fed up with theese lowlifes roaming the country, Thailand gotten so much more power now that it doesnt need theese lowlife boozers.

Thailand is stepping up and is fed up with theese lowlifes roaming the country.......

I wish it was so.

I have a friend who is in MMA fighting.

He describes the different fight clubs that attract different types of people, (fighters that is).

Some of these clubs are for those lowilfes, as you describe them.

He is educated, has a good job, so he goes to a club that attracts people closer to his own standards...

So many fight clubs out there attract people who are more into street fighting, and they are part of Thailand, and will probably remain so,

By the way, this friend of mine does NOT have tattoes that cover most of his arms, legs and back...

He's been behind bars for 2 1/2 years (I haven't checked the dates but memory says it was August 2010 he was locked up.)

He is a seasoned Muay Thai fighter with years of experience and was semi-professional.

He is a seasoned street-fighter with years of experience.

He allegedly has no qualms in taking to knives and repeatedly stabbing his opponent.

He is built like a brick sh!thouse.

I'm sure that getting roids or anything else, if he so wishes will be of little trouble to someone with his reported Thai bank balance (5 million baht in cash).

That is "How does he look "to be able to handle himself quite well"?"

Crap.

He will be deported and wont set foot in Thailand again as a free man, blacklisted.

He can go back to the housing estates and rob the elderly.

I didn't think I did to be honest. I'm interested in the case so check out any updates as they pop up on here.

When doing so I see a lot of delusions, misinformation, naivety and fantasies..... It's only fair to post truthfully about the case and situation.

This so obviously stinks of American intervention, there's a guy that jumped the wall of the Bangkok Hilton for heroin smuggling and he's back in the west a free man (no links to the USA) and then there's some poor sod with autism who hacked into the US military internet from a London bedsit and had to fight tooth and nail not to be sent to prison for decades (USA connection). Don't get me wrong If Aldhouse killed this guy he should face punishment but he's back in LOS due to American intervention.
