Yup. American plane, American pilot, mercenary flying for the Chinese Army shot down while bombing Chiang Mai airport. AVG (American Volunteer Group) they got $500 for every Japanese plane shot down. Walt Disney designed the Logo. Some may know them better as the Flying Tigers.

  • Make and Model

Also you might wish to try for the What Airport or Country the Plane took off from.

Difficult to do but if you look at the photo's date stamp and correlate that with the Airport manifest then backtrack it ... for the enthusiast only ... biggrin.png

Good Luck.

Why Thank Yee Good Sir.

What a busy life you lead whilst on holiday, hope the aircraft don't keep you awake at night.

At night they are less frequent.

But there is an occasional flight that comes through about 4.30am and it sounds so low you feel you could literally shake hands with the pilot.

Maybe a Gulfstream G200 or Gulfstream G150. Was looking up the G550 last year just out of curiosity on the price tag in case I win the lottery - $49M USD wink.png

Hope there is no penalty in researching for an answer as opposed to memory recall as that one I've never seen nor heard of and I'm fairly familiar with a lot of aircraft. Good exercise though. Though now that I think of it, Convair does ring a bell but that is going back a long way. biggrin.png
