Today/Tonight's plane is ... well, it's a bit more difficult, and honestly, I've not heard of this mob before.

De Haviland Comet..... You beat me to it...I had just found a pic to show the mods what an early jet REALLY looks like.

As an aside, isn't it great to see so many mods not following the op.....tongue.png Mods off topic????? Surely not! whistling.gif

^^ All the 'What Plane is this' photos submitted by me are those recorded at the Farm where I am staying and flying into Suvarnabhumi Airport.

If anyone is near the Don Muang or any other Thai;and Airport ... please do post for the quiz ... wai.gif

.

Actually I meant the head on shot of the plane taking off.. Looks like a 737-100 or 200, but I couldn't work out anything else.

Maybe an DC-9-10 as a first guess?

post-104736-0-85767200-1356786300_thumb.

No idea about the owner.

It's a BAC 1-11..

And the owner appears to be the Sultan of Oman (001).

Correct nearly. Its a Sultan of Omans Airforce BAC1-11 Number 551 (Arabic Numerals 0 is . and 5 is 0, closest approximation on a western keyboard)

Sorry tw25rw your first call.
