Please support this place. Only real Pho in town!

I'll pay a visit next time I'm around there. Perhaps they could add themselves to Google Maps, can't find them there, are they on Residence Garden side or beach side of Thappraya?

Just up the hill from Residence Garden on the same side, 20 meters or so. In the same building with Mr. Mac hotel I believe.

I pass there regularly (including early this afternoon) and have never seen it, so I'd say yes, it's new.

I have not a clue what that is they are selling but I was sure it would be right up Jingthings Soi.

Indian street snack food. Not rare here in restaurants. Especially pav bhaji. Just Google.

Oh well, should not have bothered then.

I bet she is still doing her thing, long after Mr. Nam Pho has given up.

I've had the pho there, and it's not nearly as good as Mr. Nam's as well as only being available on weekends if I recall correctly.

OK, I admit I haven't been there.

Have you had the Pho at both places?

Do you know what real Vietnamese pho is supposed to taste like?

The broth needs to be cooked for a very long time with the proper spices.

I recall looking at pictures of the food from that place and it looked to me like one of those Vietnamese for Thai tastes type of places. In such places, they don't generally cook the Pho broth correctly. More like a Thai style clear broth noodle.

So have you tried the Pho in both places?

Or are you just posting to try to show me up?

I asserted that Mr. Pho is the ONLY place in town for real Pho.

Maybe I'm wrong.

But you're posting about this place again doesn't prove it.

I noticed you didn't bother to describe their Pho and whether you really know about Pho.

Again, if I'm wrong, and you know about Pho and that place has real flavor Pho that is as good or even better than Mr Pho, that's great. But nothing you posted so far tells us that.

To add, I'm not saying Mr. Pho is the best in all of Thailand, or that it would be the best in HCM City or Southern California but it's damn good Pho for Pattaya.

I strongly suspect the same, as mentioned in my previous post.

Mr. Nam has very good food but I am concerned about the location.

It's not high cost food so they need to do a good volume to keep it going.

Jingthing, about pho: you cannot make an acceptable version if only cooked on the weekend. I understand in Vietnam (and even some places in Canada), at the end of the day, the unsold broth becomes the start of the next day’s soup, deep flavour and all. So you get an historical slurp. Or maybe that’s just an urban myth.
