Hello,

In order to obain a workpermit, you will need to capitalize the company at a minimum of 2,000,000 baht, if i understand it correctly.

Does these 2mio baht need to be paid in fully in order to obain a workpermit, or is 25% enough?

Thanks in advance

Vento, realize English is not your first language, good for you that you can post a question in what is not your native tongue. A thing I could not do, but you need to put more information.

Work permits are not bought buy money invested, many rules come into force, investment, yes Thai employees, type of business, married to a Thai national, BOI accredited, etc, etc.

Lots of things come in to it, buyer for an overseas company, software developer or a BOI sponsored development, setting up in an area that is a Government targeted as an area that needs development.

You need to look into what you want to do and if you want is a investment of 50.000 Baht, there is not much. Jim

When raising (increasing) the paid-up capital in a company, for instance - for the purpose of adding another work-permit to such company, you need not physically pay that 2 million into the company, but it will suffice to pay the Tax on that 2 million Baht. This Tax amounts to about Bt. 4,500.- per million, okay ?

The other requirement is that for every 1 Farang working in a Company, that company must employ 7 Thais.

Hope this helps you ?

It's 4 Thais. And 2 if you're married as I understand it.

The share capital does not need to be paid up, but it is your liability if the company ends up with debts. It costs about 3.5k per million in fees to register the capital.

You certainly need 4 (2 if married) thai staff to get an extension of stay visa. Work permit requirements are in theory not so strict but generally the same.
