Notstupid30
Thomson and First Choice to operate UK’s first direct flight to Phuket, Thailand 787 Dreamliner to fly from London Gatwick in November 2013 Exclusive ‘concept’ hotels and unique modern holiday options for customers including ‘tour and stay’ programme Thomson and First Choice have today, 31 October, announced that they will become the only UK holiday company to fly direct to Phuket, Thailand from November 2013. The announcement comes as the newest addition to the company’s fleet of aircraft, the Thomson 787 Dreamliner, prepares for service on long haul routes to Florida and Mexico from May 2013. Thomson and First Choice customers will now be able to fly direct to Phuket on the 787 Dreamliner, where they can experience unique ‘concept’ hotels including a First Choice SplashWorld and a Thomson Couples property in the resorts of Krabi, Khao Lak and Phuket. Thomson and First Choice are also giving their customers the chance to explore Thailand further and travel the length and breadth of the country with a ‘twin centre’ offering where, for example, holidaymakers can either stay for three nights in Bangkok combined with an 11 night stay in Krabi, Khao Lak or Phuket. If Bangkok is a little lively, Thomson and First Choice will be offering a number of pure beach ‘twin centre’ holidays so customers can opt to connect from Phuket for a seven night stay in Koh Samui followed by seven nights in Krabi, Khao Lak or Phuket. Other options include seven nights in Khao Lak and seven nights in the popular travellers’ retreat of Krabi, for those who want a more ‘rest and relaxation’ focussed break. If customers want to discover more of Thailand they can take an eight night organised tour as part of our ‘tour and stay’ programme including stops at the River Kwai, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai and the Mai Salong valley combined with a six night beach stay in either Phuket, Krabi or Khao Lak. Southeast Asia and particularly Thailand are popular choices for Brits who want to ‘Thai the knot’- so with this in mind Thomson and First Choice have created an extensive weddings programme to suit a wide range of customer needs. Remember remember the 5th of November, as on this date next year, the first 787 flight to Thailand will jet off to the ‘land of smiles’ from London Gatwick. Shona Swain, General Manager of Long Haul Product for Thomson and First Choice, said of the news: “We are thrilled that we are able to offer an exclusive, direct flight to Phuket on the Thomson 787 Dreamliner and we are confident that our customers will love the destination and the hotels we will be operating to. “Choosing Thailand as a destination was an obvious choice; it is extremely popular with tourists and tops the bill for independent travellers, with its perfect mix of modern hotels, white sandy beaches that stretch for miles and authentic Thai cuisine, temples and markets - it has a unique appeal to couples, groups and families alike.” Read More : http://communication...ination-ff.aspx

Notstupid30
Just what the area needs. Another bucket load of tourists turning up... Yup and more from my neck of the woods TUI Travel could launch flights between Manchester and Phuket after the successful booking start to its Gatwick services to the Thailand resort, Travel Daily has learned. Garry Wilson, TUI’s managing director of purchasing told Travel Daily the company has already seen 7,000 bookings for the first year of the London Gatwick to Phuket route, which will launch November this year using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. “We always look for multiple departure points and the next obvious choice would be Manchester,” Wilson told Travel Daily at TUI’s press conference in Bangkok earlier today. TUI is aiming to drive more business to Thailand this year with the new flights, which will also see Phuket connected to Stockholm and Copenhagen. “We are very excited by the opportunities we have in bringing more guests to Thailand,” Peter Long, CEO of TUI said at the conference, adding that as a destination, Thailand offers broad appeal “to couples, groups and families alike”. Looks real to me. They only forgot the 3 jet on the left wing. Also the 3. floor is for kids, only. Or dwarfs, in case I look for the windows. But this is the real A390.
