I don't know anything about birds.

So, I like to read what expert like you are saying and  writing and after I'm looking with Google some more informations.

YB Prinia also sometimes make a "mewing" kind of sound that sounds something like a kitten. You can find examples on xeno-canto and etc.

Yes! Solves the mystery of GF saying she hears a bird that sounds like a cat. Good call...both yours and the bird's. :thumbsup:

Black-shouldered (common name maybe now more, technically, accurately referred to as Asian Black-winged) Kite (Elanus caeruleus) hunting around my house the past few days. Got a few decent, distant snaps.
