sunshine51
Kampuchea...early 90's... I trust you shot these pics yourself, Sunshine. Excellent Yes I did DAL...Kodachrome 64..Nikon F4s, lens forgotten, then scanned with a crappy scanner available a couple years later. I have thousands of transparancies & negs of Kampooch ...many still waiting to be scanned when I get a new Cool Scan (Nikon) or Hassleblad scanner...both very expensive. Or if I can find somebody, not an agency, who has either one...I'll provide the refreshments & grub in copius amounts! Can't be a flatbed scanner though...unless it's a Kodak (bloody expensive), they're not good enough. Thanks for the like...

These are all slides shot in the mid 80's in Tibet and scanned http://phuket.zenfolio.com/p337306163 I call these street photogrpahy

sunshine51
@Dancealot...I seem to be missing something here DAL. Assistance please. I see the moustache and her smirk but what else? sunshine51
DAL... Regardless of what I'm not seeing compared to what you see; the photo is OK...but that's about it...just OK. I say this because it's washed out & I think I know why you left it this way...so one can see more of the photo's details such as hair and the shop in the backgrounds name etc. But this washes out what can be a pretty striking image of these folks plight...let's say they missed that baht bus & they're not happy about it because the driver just passed em by ok?! The top one is as you shot it while the bottom is what I did in about 10 seconds in ACDSee by just adjusting contrast and exposure. It also enhances the trail of liquid that ends right under the the lady second to the right who looks like she's.....hah! And to me...just by a quick play with contrast & exposure makes it a better monochrome photo. Just my opinion that's all...or constructive criticism...whatever! Keep shooting... phuketrichard
sunshine extreme over adjusting Dancealot; anytime u have to tell someone what to look for , your shot failed. and agree with shunshine, its not only washed out ( which adjusting the contrast will not improve) but out of focus sorry but keep shooting

Thank you very much, sunshine. I love your monochrome edit, I guess I lack the insight to see this. I breathe a sigh of relief for getting some critique. I love the B&W shots and I see it's not just about switching from colour to B&W. I'll have to get into the picture more to enhance/highlight what I want to show. Your lesson is appreciated.
