If you are desperate to find out get in touch with Nong Nooch Gardens just south of Pattaya as out the back of the gardens where the tourists can't go they have a facility into Cycad research . I have a book lost somewhere in my collection of books on " Cycads of Thailand" written by either David Jones or can't remember his first name Hill who do a lot of research work at Nong Nooch.
