webfact Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Popular Phuket restaurant owner killed in car crashArchara Khanchanakub.PHUKET: -- Archara Khanchanakub, co-owner of popular Cherng Talay restaurant The Slug and Lettuce, died in a car crash this morning.A Phuket Ruamjai Rescue Foundation volunteer confirmed Mrs Khanchanakub, 45, was the victim in the crash, which happened around 3.30am this morning (March 20).The volunteer said Mrs Khanchanakub was driving her car on Chao Fah East heading south to Chalong when she crashed into the back of a parked 18 wheel truck, parked outside the Krajang Garage near Naka Weekend Market.Mrs Khanchanakub was killed instantly.She owned the Slug and Lettuce, on Bandon-Cherng Talay Rd, with her husband Phanpat “Ott” Khanchanakub, who is currently in England.
