Bobcat Posted March 13, 2006 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I was watching TV the other evening and caught the end of a program about an Australian lady who runs a homestay/guest house in Kanchanaburi. She was married to a Thai man for more than 30 years, who has now passed away. Did anyone see the program (it was on one of the Thai channels, I cannot remember which one)? Looks like she has lots of Thai friends that visit. She certainly has a big heart and works hard to give poor people work and a place to hang out also. They didn't say where she is. I was on my way down after overnighting in a treehouse at Tong Pha Phum National Park.) He had great things to say about this homestay, and it's on my list of places I must visit before I leave Thailand. An e-mail is provided at the end of the article, but I don't know if it's still valid. If anyone here manages to get a phone number (or updated e-mail address), please post it here as I'd love to get more information (so I can plan a trip there this rainy season to check out the waterfalls.) the swagman Posted June 27, 2006 Share Posted June 27, 2006 True story. She is north of Kan proper. Go up to Tong Pha Phum and then turn left to a place called Pilok ?
