This is the definitive map for now. i decided to modify the look of the map. Do you find this one more clear and easier. Added more POI and rearranged some of them in the right position. And if anyone wants to print or use the map in their websites i have no problem with that.

I'm looking for a printed street map of Roi et to aid my familiarisation of the city. I've looked in book stores, the big out of town supermarket and department stores, but no luck so far. I'd be happy to buy by mail order if that's the only option available.

Think Maps, available at most book stores, have a large map of Thailand, but it comes with a CD fill of maps of Thailand, I'm sure you would be able to zoom in on Roi-et and then print it. You could of course do the same with Google maps.

All the maps you can find in book stores aren't good; miss many roads, even on 1/200,000* ones, and often the numbers of the roads on the maps aren't the real ones.

My maps are in my brain;

I was a trucker all over Europe, going to Ukrainia, south of Portugal and south Italy;going to Sweden; my boss was in France .

and when I go somewhere, it's for my life in my head .

I cycle much on the roads of Thailand; between 12,000 and 15,000 km each year ;

I think I cycled all the roads, even the reds ones within a radius of 15 kilometers around my village.

I know its a year ago and all was perfect with the map but know it's gone again. Pictures from some girls but no map. Any chance to get the map back ?

Operation Crown have a website www.creopcrown.co.uk. They have photos of the airfield you mention. Some of the veterans come to our Remembrance Day ceremony here in Ubon every year. I can also provide email addresses if you are interested.
