You can not eat the fruit but most thais know this fruit.In Thai it's called ตีนเป็ดน้ำ . Maybe a nice earner for a local village. Peters Posted March 30, 2006 Author Share Posted March 30, 2006 Hi Bambina, The fruit is indeed poisonous. Local villagers use it as poison against rats, etc.. I need 50,000+ of them. If you dry them you get the below product, probably you know that one. On this moment I only have 5,000. Because the fruits are not edible, there are no growers/nurseries on a large scale.
