PRESS RELEASE: Thai Airways To Add 3 New Destinations

The following is a press release from Thai Airways International PCL.

BANGKOK--Thai Airways International Public Company Limited is adding three new destinations as well as rerouting and increasing flights for the new summer timetable starting 28 March 30 October 2004.

The new destinations are Milan in Italy, Jihong (Xixongpanna) in China, and Bangalore in India.

Mr. Kanok Abhiradee, Thai Airways' President, said that the new changes are in line with the expansion of the investment market as well as the demand for business and leisure travel. The new summer timetable for 2004 will therefore include three new destinations: Milan in Italy, Jihong (Xixongpanna) in China, and Bangalore in India.

Frequencies will be increased on the Bangkok-London and Bangkok-Munich routes to cater to the increase in demand.

This is also part of the airline's policy to increase profitable flights and reduce those that incur losses. The new summer timetable will start from 28 March to 30 October 2004.

New destinations

- Bangkok-Milan: two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays, utilizing Boeing 747-400 aircraft (starting 1 May 2004)

- Bangkok-Bangalore: four weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, utilizing Airbus 300-600 aircraft (starting 29 March 2004)

- Bangkok-Jihong (Xixongpanna): two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Fridays utilizing ATR 72 aircraft (starting on 31 March 2004)

New routes

- Bangkok-Bahrain-Kuwait: three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays utilizing Airbus 300-600 aircraft.

Increased frequencies

- Bangkok-London: with one additional day flight bringing the total to 6 weekly flights, utilizing Boeing 747-400 aircraft. Thai also operates 7 weekly night flights, bringing the total number to 13 weekly flights (starting 1 May 2004).

- Bangkok-Munich: with one additional flight utilizing Boeing 747-400 aircraft bringing the total number to 5 weekly flights (starting 1 May 2004)
