251.jpg

Song Pee Nong police officers took charge at a 40 year-old who chased after locals and patients at a local hospital.

SUPHANBURI – [PDN]; A 40 year-old Thai national who went after local people and patients at the Somdet Phra Sangkarat hospital was arrested by police officers that were informed by locals. The man reportedly used a big knife to chase after locals and patients at the hospital.

Police then questioned the wife of the suspect, who had told police officers that her husband was a renowned masseuse in the community they were living in. But when most of his regular customers weren’t coming back, he became stressed and became eventually mad or crazy, which lead to the reported incident.

Locals and police officers that were at the scene tried to calm and talk to the 40 year-old, but he wouldn’t drop the weapon and stop. After 4 hours, he finally stopped and asked for cigarettes, he then dropped his weapon and walked to the police officers to be arrested. Police will now send him to a mental hospital in Bangkok, where he will be treated by psychology specialists.

Hard to believe that the police talked to him for 4 hours. And then there is the big knife being held in a threatening manner for 4 hours. I think he dropped the knife because his arm was tired and his throat was dry! ... Any other civilized country and they would have tazered the bastard.

Just saying .... biggrin.png

"... said her husband was a renowned masseuse in the community they were living in. But when most of his regular customers weren’t coming back..."

I'm not sure that statement makes sense. If he was oh so renowned, why would his regulars suddenly abandon him?

But then again, while the headline calls him a "masseur" (i.e. male), the statement mentions him as being a "masseuse" (i.e. female). Perhaps he dressed up in women's clothes and a wig, pretending to his regular (presumably mostly male) clientele to be a chick and became renowned for certain "additional" services - until they eventually found out and fled in droves, that is. Exposed, shamed, frustrated and having lost a good deal of face, he popped a handful of yaabaa, grabbed a knife and went on his rampage.

Please don't laugh at this absurd scenario. We're in Thailand after all, and everything (EVERYTHING!) is possible here. wai2.gif.pagespeed.ce.goigDuXn4X.gif

I'm guessing Australia is a 'civilized' country, but he wouldn't have been tasered here. A situation like that would go on for days here before anything positive was done, because of the bleeding hearts, chardonnay socialists and left wing <deleted> who would hold that he'd had a tough childhood, and must be shown compassion. I'd be sending in the marksmen within an hour if I was in power.

We've just had $60 Million damage caused to Australian government property, by 'refugees' in detention on Nauru, and the word in the press is that, "'IF any of those responsible are charged and found guilty, it MAY affect their rights to remain in Australia as refugees". We're nuts in this country, driven to it by political correctness.

ALMOST half the people shot dead in confrontations with police in the past 22 years were suffering from some form of mental illness, a new study says.

The paper, released by the Australian Institute of Criminology, said 105 people had been fatally shot by police since monitoring through the National Deaths in Custody Program started in 1989-90.

Of those, 44 (42 per cent) were identified as having some form of mental illness, with psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia the most common with 26 cases.

I'd say it was much more civilized to peacefully end the situation without violence or injury.

A few people are showing their ignorance of thai languge constructs when they are complaining that the lady said he was a masseuse. She really would have said he was a Moh Nuat and that does not have any difference of gender. The error came in the newspapers poor translation.

It is understandable when you consider the first rule every LOS proprietor learns about business is that the customer is always wrong.

Police then questioned the wife of the suspect, who had told police officers that her husband was a renowned masseuse in the community they were living in. But when most of his regular customers weren’t coming back,

he decided to increase business with this PR stunt.
