Popular Post FireMedic
Thainess Promotion: Never, under any circumstances make any hand gestures, facial gestures, eye contact, or fart in the general direction of anyone in Thailand. This could lead to a violent "misunderstanding" and end with you in the hospital. And a new directive has been issued by "Thainess Promotion" that all Thais associated with crimes will now be described as "Asian-Looking" and not "Thai" as to maybe lead readers to believe that hyper violent acts could possibly be done by Chinese,Koreans,Japanese, or any other "Asian" country...other than Thai.
Popular Post LivinginKata
Looks like the 2 Asian men caused the entire incident ... Popular Post chooka
If he had just used the zebra crossing all of this could have been avoided... Yes you are quite correct, the motorbike would have stopped to give way to the pedestrians.
IrishIvan
Try waving your middle finger in the Singapore and you will be put in gaol. The 2 Asian looking men might have been from another asian country. Not necessarily Thailand. They could have been Japanese

Popular Post Phronesis
With incidents like this, it's not hard to see why the TAT will not be promoting Phuket next year. Not correct NKM. Next year the TAT will be revising the current "cat bags" for distribution and use in Phuket. There will be three bags released for use on the island. None will feature the Siamese moggy. The first will feature a photo of a knife wielding bag snatcher out of his mind on ya ice, the second will have two grinning Australian bikie members holding up their illegal handguns for the camera...and the third...two young tourist girls being menaced by a group of jet ski operators as they withdrawn 50,000 THB from an ATM on beach road...

"Phuket lessons" are normally a lot lot worse than a head kicked to the curb and a beating... Another couple of foreign tourists living the dream in Phuket.... Will they be back next year? Popular Post humqdpf
The article seems to insinuate that the thing that was wrong here was the fingerwaving in retaliation for the almost being killed or injured by dangerous driving. The dangerous driving was, by implication, overlooked. What are foreigners supposed to do in such circumstances? Wai?

steelepulse
The problem was that the silly couple thought that walking across the street, the two asian idiots traveling at an illegal high speed would stop and let them cross as in most countries as the law dictates.
