Another case of a foreigner being treated unfairly in Thailand?

I can certainly believe these problems can result from so called deformation, many farangs here in Thailand still understandably think with a Farang mind. Law as we know it in the west, simple does not exist here. I've been through the Thai courts twice on deformation, first time got completely screwed or should I say framed, second time I was accused along with my Thai wife,of a completely false made up case, luckily and I mean luckily we were able to prove we where more than 1000kl away when we were supposed to have committed this crime. Now my wife is pressing deformation charges against the person who accused us, I am not involved in this case,as our lawyer and the prosecutor informed us that it would be far better if my wife instigated the charge alone, So far it has cost us a fair amount in cash to pay the police Etc to carry out their duties, and it's still taking more than two years. What Pissies me off in regards to this case, is that a fellow Farang is causing all this trouble over basically nothing, why, could it be that the German along with his wife are tempted by the thought of gaining 200,000 bht.

Tell us your story. HOw does it happen twice?

Separate cases. What I was trying to convey is that here in LOS ( land of scams) some unscrupulous people will try anything, including deformation to obtain money.

I saw the doctors about my leg and was told that the waiting list to even see a specialist was 3 months, never mind booking time for the leg surgery. I figured that because this was affecting my work (climbing towers etc.) that I should just go back to Thailand and pay for the surgery, which can be done the same day if you pay, not like back home however when I saw that the cost was 250,000 THB. Yes maybe I should have bit my tongue and just had it done however I hesitated. Because I has a few bucks at this time (End of March) I started buying a few things like my chopper, musical equipment and also gave over 250,000 baht to charities: Buying a bike for the Father Ray foundation and 20,000 baht of rice, sending warm cloths to the North, buying large Buddha statues for a couple of temples and also giving my ex-wife the equivalent of her monthly salary to her just out of the kindness of my heart. I also had some plastic surgery done for 97,000 THB.

I was thinking why not, I will be going back to work in 2 or 3 months as I DO have a return ticket. So why shouldn't I buy things for myself too before going back to work. Yes the story began in 2011 and as I said it was dropped then with the presence of a lawyer I had hired here in Pattaya and was told that the case was closed so you can imagine how surprised I was when I was arrested one night by Immigration and told by my lawyer that it was the same case being re-opened.

You have seen some ups and downs before this story right? Maybe they´ve cost you the biggest chunk of your savings? Careing your dad for example. That´s hard and can happen, not your fault. But then you see more storm clouds on the horizon, your diabetis, decreasing health, no savings. But instead of preparing for the worst you spend ALL your money (4-500K??) not "very wise" You insult others and gamble with your own wellbeing too. Finacially and health wise. So some of your trouble is selfmade.

I have to say i don´t know what to believe and how this whole story could become this complicated and frustrating as a result of an insult via email. Does the German know about your medical status? Even the most bitter, black hearted German couldn´t accept your suffering when you´re really in need of life saving surgery?!

Very confusing and disturbing story sad.png

Hi Gone,
I think deep inside you are a nice guy who wants to be liked by others, but sometimes you should really engage your brain before you start to write, speak or even upload a video to youtube.
You wrote that you never had a problem with a Thai in thirteen years? Do you really think it is the German guy who let you go through this all?
It is his Thai wife, which you know because of the remark about the skirt!
You need to understand that the words you wrote have a far stronger meaning to a Thai person then to Farang. If you say that sentence to a Thai in a Karaoke bar in Rayong or somewhere else outside Pattaya it is very likely that you would die for it, not within 2-3 years but in the next couple of minutes.
Instead of wasting money to lawyers and police you should had offered a reasonable amount of money, a very very deep wai on your knees and a sincere apology to the couple in public. It is almost impossible for the woman to decline such an offer in public.
But you thought your behavior was a minor offence and you had the right to answer in the style you did because of your personal situation and all the good things you done in the past.
You still have this opinion, don't you?
On the other hand I think you have suffered enough for that mistake.
Why not accepting the help from others? I would gladly transfer 500-1000 Baht to your bank or Paypal account, if you include me in your next prayer..
If 50-100 person have the same idea you don't have to sale the car, motorbike, ipad or macbook etc.
That is your good Karma in action:
You can continue to keep your spirits up by making some of your music, enjoy a can of Leo (is that healthy with diabestes?) , have a funny smoke and surf on thaifriendly...
And Mr.M from Germany has the pleasure to enjoy the companionship of his lovely partner for the rest of his life...laugh.png
What you think who is more happy?
So in the end Justice is done.clap2.gif
Have a nice sunday in Pattaya.

Have a nice sunday in Pattaya.

yes I know it is his wife but he could easily tell her to stop and tell her that this is not the reason he lives in Thailand . I know if I had a wife like that I would tell her to drop it and just get on with life. I mean this started in 2011 and if you read my post here I DID apologize to both of them the first day we all went to the police station. I said I'm sorry to the German guy and told him I was very sick and just got out of Hospital the same day I replied to his email. I then looked at her and said ka tot na with a wy and her reply was " NO I want 100,000 baht. The last time my lawyer heard from their lawyer they now want 200,000 baht.

Also I haven't been able to play my guitars etc or do anything for that matter.

I'm sorry but I forgot to say thank you for all of you who offered help and suggestions of how or what I should do. There are some good folk left on this planet. I have recieved offers of money from all around the world because of my video but have not accepet one penny. If I was a criminal I think I would be taking it. But instead I replied with my thanks and said I would keep their emails in case it gets worse.

In 13 years here I have never had a problem with a Thai or anyone for that matter so why this guy has such a strong vendeta I have no idea.

The German is a wrongin, I believe you lad , there's some on here that disagree with every post that comes on

Good luck with the outcome it should sort its self out

Yes he is well aware of my medical needs and that is why he appealed it because was told I would have to stay here for 2 more months. His lawyer must have told him he would not win and no gain so as to why he is so mean I just have no answer to that.

And to those defending him saying why do I keep mentioning "the German guy" well think about it, he is the one who made the first charge as it was his email so it is him that can drop the charges. Weather his wife is leading him around on a leash is none of my business but sure is giving Germans a bad name. And yeah I have worked in Germany and had a great time with everyone so I'm not a bigit. I also have German friends here who just cannot believe this guy.

Let me get it straight, some people really som nam naa him because he send email with some bad words in the end? <deleted>?

You guys have been living too long time in LOS. Brains are set to thai-style.

Sometimes i wonder when you here these incredible stories when its going to happen to you,it does not need a lot, just little bit of bad luck.

Those guys here who thinks that he got what he deserved, hope have emergency funds for things like this.

I found myself thinking about relocation cause things are getting out of hand in Patts.

Fake/real police in pick-ups kidnapping people and extort money in hotel rooms, all kind of scams everywhere you go etc etc.

And police/immigration hold his passport as a ransom? last year swedish guy killed man from oz in soi diana and flew back to sweden after two weeks. Year before that finnish guy burned another finnish in bar and burned bar too and was free in 4 days, smiling and drinking chang again.

Difference to this story is MONEY.

Should just pay something long time before, its the thai way. German´s wife wants it,police want´s it,lawyer wants it.

Probably did not help that you said about your medical situation, everyone can smell easy money if they know that you HAVE to go back home certain date.

And no, he isn't giving Germans a bad name, you are by harping on about the German, the German, the German . . . Yes, you are showing yourself to be a bigot and saying that 'I have German friends' . . . like everyone in the US has black friends . . .

This is the problem with only reading, seeing one side of the story . . . you get people like this mental giant:

The German bloke is a turd. What a sad little man he must be.

Please tell me you are not saying that the German is doing the right thing? How can trying to scam 200k from an email be right? The situation is a complete joke! The Canadian is also a fool for his reply why he just simply could not reply with a "not interested"

In my opinion they both deserve a red nose.

This just ruins the image of pattaya.

Gone - do yourself a favour and remove your comments from the video about Drummond! That is pure 100% defamation and will see you up to bloody neck in the shit if he was spiteful enough to do anything about it. Off your bloody rocker son. Never EVER say something negative about a person in Thailand publicly or write it somewhere even if it is true. It matters not - it's big fine time for that shit.... 13 years in Thailand should have told you this...

No, I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is that actions have consequences - in this case extreme consequences, unfortunately.

As for your following comment: cheesy.gif

I'll take that as a compliment form you. Irrespective of who is right, who is wrong, what was said, and what wasn't, can you seriously tell anyone that the actions of the German and his wife are acceptable, and worth pursing in this manner? It is a waste of police time, courts and also everyone concerned. In the end, no one is going to win from this, but the continuing actions and pursuit over a disagreement of 2,000 baht and a few choice words is pathetic. I would imagine pretty much all of us, at sometime has been called an unpleasant name, or been on the wrong end of choice words - would you pursue it in a court?
