Yeah Sunshine, I really feel that it is a good investment that will last until I am in the ground. May as well enjoy using the right tools and not be out in the field wishing I had not sacrificed quality for a few extra bucks. MJP Posted February 4, 2014 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Induro CT414 8X and BHL3 head just arrived. It was expensive, but far more of a tripod than I ever expected. Only need to use three leg sections, if you extend the fourth it's way high. Tubes are massive. Quarter turn to lock/unlock. The centre column locks down easily to make it as steady as a systematic. Head is perfectly smooth, locks down very firmly with minimal effort. The spider seems to be made from some sort of extraterrestrial material. The whole rig is rock solid. It's incredibly light too. Head 0.67 kgs It's big mind and very rock solid welded to the floor stable. Just remember with the Induro to not crank down the leg locks too much. If you do they can wear out pretty quick in a couple years...just tight enough to not allow the leg(s) to move down under load is fine. Have fun!
