oogster8
are these to be obtained in your home country?
thaiexpat21
Where do you intend applying for this "visa" ?
Jingthing
Applications for O-A visa in your home country, yes get the documents there. Applications for retirement extensions in Thailand -- those documents NOT needed at all! O-A visa is only an option. You can begin retirement in Thailand without it. ubonjoe
Only if you are applying for a OA visa in your home country. They are not required for an extension of stay based upon retirement here.
oogster8
Quick. Thanks. I would enter thailand with a 60 day tourist visa then go for the retirement visa when im there. Its a non-issue then.
lopburi3
It would be better to arrive with a single entry non immigrant O visa issued by an honorary Consulate but if you must use a tourist or visa exempt entry you can convert/obtain in Thailand from immigration for 2,000 baht fee and proof of financial requirements in Thailand and then 60 days later obtain the normal retirement extension of stay for 1,900 baht and financials again. ubonjoe
You will not be getting a retirement visa. You will first apply for a change of visa status to a nonimmigrant visa entry based upon your qualification for a extension of stay for retirement. Then after 60 to 90 days you will apply for the extension of stay. As said you will not need medical or police check.
